Every year, thousands of students begin college excited for a new chapter in life. At the same time, they enter the period known as the Red Zone, the first several weeks of the academic year when college students, particularly first-year and new transfer students, face an increased risk of sexual assault.

Fear 2 Freedom believes prevention begins long before an assault occurs.

Through education, awareness, and community partnerships, we empower students to recognize risk, understand consent and healthy relationships, intervene safely, support survivors, and help create a culture where respect and accountability thrive.

The Beyond the Red Zone Annual Awareness & Leadership Luncheon brings together business leaders, educators, healthcare professionals, students, advocates, and community members who believe creating safer campuses is a responsibility we all share.

This annual event is more than a luncheon. It is an opportunity to move beyond awareness and into action.
